MG Price: The Hector is priced between Rs 12.18 lakh and Rs 16.88 lakh (introductory, ex-showroom India)

Hector’s Variants & Colour Options: The Hector is available in four variants: Style, Super, Smart, and Sharp. Five colors are on offer: white, silver, black, burgundy red and blaze red — but the color choice depends on the variant.

MG Hector Powertrains: The Hector is available with two petrol and one diesel engine option to choose from. The petrol engine is a 1.5-liter turbocharged unit capable of producing 143PS of maximum power and 250Nm of torque. The diesel engine is the same 2.0-liter unit that powers the Compass. Here, it produces 170PS and 350Nm. The Hectors also gets a mild-hybrid variant which is equipped with a 48V mild-hybrid system mated to the 1.5-liter petrol engine. Both the engines are coupled to a 6-speed manual transmission as standard while the non-hybrid petrol engine gets an optional 7-speed dual-clutch transmission as well.

Hector‘s Features: The Hector’s standout feature is its large 10.4-inch touchscreen infotainment which gets in-built internet connectivity, smart mobile application-based AC control as well as door lock and unlock. It is also equipped with a panoramic sunroof, a 7-inch color MID, 360-degree camera, electronic parking brake, and up to six airbags. 
The standard safety feature sets include dual front airbags, ABS with ESP, EBD, traction control, hill hold assists, rear disc brakes and ISOFIX child seat anchors.

Rivals: This vehicle is a five-seat midsize SUV and competes with the likes of the Jeep Compass, Mahindra XUV500, Tata Harrier, Hyundai Tucson, and Hyundai Creta.

Hector 7 Seater: The Mg Hector will be launched in India as a five-seater SUV for now. However, MG Motor has plans to launch a seven-seater version of this vehicle as well at a later stage.
